Learharlann Cill Rónan, Árainn
The Liam
and Tom O’Flaherty Society second Summer School takes place in Inis Mór
(Árainn), the birthplace of these two writers, on Saturday and Sunday
the 30th and 31st August. 2014.
There will be an Exhibition of
Books and Material on Liam and Tom O’Flaherty in Leabharlann Cill Rónan
from Saturday 30th August.
In Ballybane Library James
Harrold launched the Exhibition by the residents of Sliabh Bán.
This was a
community project in association with visual artist Fiona Hession.
Fiona Hession is a Galway based Sculptor. Her work investigates
different aspects of social status, identity and taboo. Hession is
predominantly an object maker but also uses printmaking and textiles to
realise her work. Hession is currently working with the Sliabh Ban
Residents in Ballybane on a Create Artist in the Community project
